 You want them to connect with you online, read the information, and call you to place an order, right?

Have a website- it's baffling how many times we find people who haven't purchased their web address. 

Let's be clear here, if you are going to be active and sell anything with the help of the Internet, you need a website. 

**Your website must**:

- Look clean and professional
- Be easy for search engines to find
- Grab your visitors' attention immediately when they visit
- Provide the information needed to make purchasing decisions
- Give visitors contact information 

Now that is a great start, but these are only things you can do on your website. The next step is to set out to make sure you get found. 

 

You need to **build your web presence by**:

- Participating in conversation about your industry through Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest
- Connecting with other website owners who will write about you on their website
- Having an account on popular websites your potential visitor is already visiting
- Consistently adding new information to your website to encourage return visits
- Be recognized as a source of knowledge on your topic
- Providing information in many places on the Internet, so that you are easily found
- Be recognized as your brand, by your logo, picture, or brand name

It takes time to build your web presence, and to make sure it includes all of the items listed above, but it can be done, and when it is, you'll see:

- People regularly visiting your website to get information you are an expert on
- Emails coming in, from people interested in doing business with you
- Orders being placed for what you sell 
- Related businesses interested in doing business with you
- Increased revenue from all of your efforts
